We are passionate about providing the very best veterinary care available to our clients and their pets. We are extremely proud of our independent practice where we strive to provide outstanding care with fair, honest and open prices.
We have come to realise that an increasing number of clients travel many miles to visit our independent practice. Clients and their pets being able to access fairly priced independent pet care is something we feel passionate about.
We are pleased to now be able to offer this to clients further afield who may find it difficult to get to Longridge, or whose pets do not like travelling.
Vet in a Van in Your Community
You can visit our Vet in a Van at a community location near you. We bring our mobile practice and a vet to a location near you. You can book an appointment to come for a consultation or a procedure when we are in your community.
We are launching our van at our new location:
Clitheroe Rugby Club, Silcock Park, Littlemoor Rd, Clitheroe BB7 1EW.
Initially we will be at the rugby club on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon, but will be adding additional days very soon!
What Service does Vet in a Van Provide?
We have kitted out our van to the levels of a modern vet practice. Our vet and nurse are able to provide:
- Consultations
- Blood sampling and testing with in-van lab facilities
- Dental procedures
- Sedation and anaesthetics
- Operations including spays, castrates, lump removals and many more
- Ultrasound scans
We can pretty much do most things that we manage to do at Longridge Vets!
Our modern unique bespoke vet van has been designed by us to make sure that we can provide the very best care for your pets. It has been built to exacting standards so that we can maintain a clean clinical environment at all times. Our modern well-equipped van includes:
- A consultation table
- Full operation theatre kit including anaesthetic machine and multi-parameter monitor
- Ultrasound scanner
- Laboratory
- Temperature controlled pharmacy area
- Kennels for inpatients
- Heating and air-conditioning and hot and cold water, not forgetting a toilet and a kettle for our staff!
- Full dental kit
- Surgical kit for many operations
- Full IT/digital practice management system
At present we are not able to offer our very popular modern key hole spay technique in the van. This is something that we are working on and hope to provide in the future. We will also be adding an x-ray machine very soon. You can still visit Longridge Vets for these, and we will help arrange this.

Registration is easy. Simply complete your details on this link we will register you with our main practice, Longridge Vets. You will then be able to book an appointment when required.
